Meet
Anastasiia Demkina-Skaggs
Anastasiia is a professional educator and a new Mom. She is currently a PhD student in Adult Education in the USA, and obtained both Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Education in Moscow.
Anastasiia’s fascination with Yoga led her to India where she travelled with a backpack, lived in Ashrams and in the long run got certified In Goa State as a Yoga Instructor. The school she had her studies at is also approved by Yoga Alliance (RYT 200 Hours).
One year after, she came back to Mother India again in order to work there, teaching different Yoga styles in Ashrams to people who come to India to practice Yoga from all over the world.
In 2018 she came to the US and settled down in DC area where shortly after she met her husband and moved to Fredericksburg, VA.
Shortly after Anastasiia got certificated specifically as a Prenatal Yoga Instructor and Doula and started helping Pregnant population in Northern Virginia. It helped her to go through her own infertility treatment and pregnancy. Anastasiia’s International experience in addition to working for three years in the US, helps her to bring some global perspective, some diversity to teaching Yoga/Prenatal Yoga in our community.
